Look. I'm walking two dogs. I wish that was true. We'd LOVE to have a dog in our wedding!!!! (I keep saying we should register for a puppy.)

registry heaven

Although we still do not have a set date (Jen still hasn't gotten back to me about whether she'll have an exam on Monday, yet), we have a honeymoon booked at Disney World!! I am, of course, ridiculously excited. We have a Disney honeymoon registry, too so we can get some awesome Mickey Mouse Bride and Groom ears (and, you know, dinner). We are staying at the Pop Century Resort and going everywhere!!! I am seriously more excited than I have been in a long, time. We are leaving in 99 DAYS!!!!!!

Although Jenny may still make a dress, I might just buy one online. The bouquet to the right is what I really want. I know it might not look like a bouquet but I think it's really cool. If I end up having to get real flowers I just want Gerbera Daisies. I am not wearing a veil (I think they're silly), my dress is going to be short and I really want to wear mary-jane shoes. Chris is going to wear a regular suit. Our ideal event includes people sitting in a room, telling stories and like maybe singing songs or something. Does that make me sound like a hippie? I'm not trying to... I'm just having problems thinking of a wedding "proper" because I NEVER thought about it. As I've said in the past, the one wedding-related idea I ever had was to play the entire White Album by the Beatles. We're not serious people, we should not have a serious wedding. I mean, we should SERIOUSLY get married, but I doubt anyone in the world can imagine me standing at an alter silently and not making a joke. If I WAS doing that I can guarantee I would have something unfortunate happen to me. I'd fall down, fall in water, something ridiculous.

We actually went to look at rings about a week ago. It was fun. I learned a lot, actually, and we talked to the girl at Shaw's Jewelers for WAY too long. I'm also looking at some on etsy. Chris is having a good time with everything. We registered at Target, too, but not for very much. We really only need a good vaccuum cleaner. If people want to buy me something that I don't need, I'd rather it were off the Disney Registry.

Anyway, I'll be updating this blog often as more (..... ANY) details are finalized. This is going to be a crazy 96 or 98 days!!!!!

SURPRISE!!!!!!!

Everything was going as planned: we had made no plans but assumed the wedding would be a year from this month. I went home to Ohio and that evening when Chris and I talked he told me that his summer/fall contract was being cut short and instead of starting a week after his current contract ends, they're starting 2 months after. This means, essentially, that's he's laid off for two months. I pondered the idea of getting married at some point during those two months... and then we decided, why not? We don't have any money but it's not like we're going to have money in January. We were only waiting because we thought that'd be the first time available; why not do it now?

So, as of, officially, yesterday, we are now getting married on

What I can tell you for sure is that we are going to DISNEY WORLD May 5th - 12th!! More to come soon!!!!!
